What a week! I had my post-chemotherapy scans and bloodwork last Friday and the results have been dripping in all week. My CA125 (the ovarian cancer antigen) is now at a personal all-time low of 11! Anything under 35 considered normal, and before surgery, my level was 582. So that 11 was great news. My CT scan was also totally unremarkable which means there was no detectable cancer. And, my surgeon finally said I am healed enough to be off restrictions. After almost six months of resting, I can finally start building back my strength. I never thought I’d be so excited to workout.
I’ve been thinking about the things I’m excited to do now that I’m finished with treatment. Here are a few:
- Walking to Atlantic Highlands
- Taking a bath
- Cleaning the house myself
- Grocery shop alone and load the car myself
- Go for a swim
- Get on the elliptical
- Carry my own bags

But first, I’m going to enjoy celebrating all of the good news up in Vermont with my family. Taking time to enjoy the cold weather, relaxing at the mountain with a massage while my family is skiing, and enjoying craft beers and good food.
Now excuse me, I’m going to open a bottle of champagne and make myself a mimosa and put on a facemask!
Enjoy your mimosa Morgan..I’ll be celebrating with you today! Cheers🍾
Have a wonderful time in Vermont! Love you.💜💜
