This September, Shop for a Cause
While donating directly to an ovarian cancer organization will have the biggest impact with my dollars, I love supporting businesses that support ovarian cancer research. Here are some fun places to shop that will donate a portion of their proceeds.
The Color Street Foundation is pledging a total amount of $150,000 to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), organizations that fund research, awareness, and provide support services for those who are affected by ovarian cancer.
ONEHOPE Foundation offers a variety of wines to support ovarian cancer education through OCRA.
- ONEHOPE Wine California Rosé $.50 for each bottle purchased to educate a minimum of 50 women about the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer.
- ONEHOPE Wine Reserve Tier Sonoma County Rosé $1.00 for each bottle purchased to educate a minimum of 100 women about the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer
- ONEHOPE Wine Reserve Tier Sparkling Rosé $2.00 for each bottle purchased to educate 200 women on their risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer
Just One Miracle
Just One Miracle prints and sells note cards to raise funds to support ovarian cancer research. The company was founded by Alison Walsh in 2000 as part of her personal fight against ovarian cancer. 100% of JOM profits (about $7.00 per box) is donated to OCRA to find a cure for ovarian cancer.
This mission of Ovarcome is to raise global awareness, to fund research in search of cures, and to provide financial support to underprivileged women in the U.S. as well as developing nations in their valiant fight against ovarian cancer.
I did my best to vet these promotions, but there is a chance some have ended before I publish this article.
I’m sure I missed a few other great opportunities to shop for ovarian cancer, so let me know where you’re shopping for a cause this September!
